Overview

The Peptide Reconstitution Kit is a starter bundle that puts everything needed to bring a lyophilized peptide vial into solution on one order. Rather than sourcing diluent, syringes and swabs separately, researchers receive a 30 mL vial of bacteriostatic water, a supply of 31G × 1 mL insulin syringes with fixed needles, and a box of individually wrapped 70% isopropyl alcohol prep pads.

Each component was chosen for the way it is actually used at the bench. The bacteriostatic water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol so the same diluent vial can be entered many times over a study. The 31G syringes have a fine, short needle that passes cleanly through rubber stoppers, and their 0.01 mL graduations make it easy to measure the small volumes used to set peptide concentration. The prep pads are used to swab every stopper before it is punctured, a simple step that greatly reduces the chance of contaminating a multi-draw vial.

Research Overview

Why a kit

Reconstitution is the step where a dry, lyophilized peptide is dissolved into a solution of defined concentration. It is simple in principle, but doing it reproducibly and without contaminating the vial depends on having the right consumables to hand: a preserved diluent, a sterile syringe that measures small volumes accurately, and a swab to disinfect stoppers. The starter kit collects those three items so that a laboratory's first peptide order arrives with everything required to prepare it.

Component roles

  • Bacteriostatic water — the solvent. The 0.9% benzyl alcohol preservative inhibits bacterial growth, which matters because both the water vial and the reconstituted peptide vial are entered repeatedly during a study.
  • 31G × 1 mL insulin syringes — the measuring device. Fixed fine-gauge needles minimize stopper coring and dead space, and 0.01 mL graduations allow the diluent volume, and therefore the final concentration, to be set precisely.
  • Alcohol prep pads — the aseptic step. Wiping the stopper of both the water vial and the peptide vial before every puncture is standard aseptic technique.

Basic reconstitution workflow

What the kit does not include

The kit does not include the peptide itself, sterile empty vials for aliquoting, or a sharps container. Laboratories preparing many vials, splitting stock into working aliquots, or generating a large number of used needles should add those items; they are listed as related products.

Handling & Storage

Store the sealed kit at room temperature away from light and moisture. Keep syringes and prep pads in their individual wrappers until the moment of use and discard any syringe whose wrapper is open or damaged. When preparing a vial, work on a clean surface, swab every stopper with a prep pad and let it dry, and use a new syringe for each transfer. After the bacteriostatic water vial has been punctured for the first time, mark the date on the label and store it refrigerated. Used syringes go directly into a sharps container; do not recap by hand.

Peptide Reconstitution Kit FAQ

What exactly is in the Peptide Reconstitution Kit?
The starter kit contains one 30 mL vial of bacteriostatic water, a supply of 31G × 1 mL insulin syringes with fixed needles, and a box of individually wrapped 70% isopropyl alcohol prep pads. It contains no peptide; it is the consumables used to reconstitute peptide vials purchased separately.
Which peptides is the kit suitable for?
Any lyophilized peptide in the catalog that is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, which covers most of the range — BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, semaglutide, tirzepatide, CJC-1295, ipamorelin, MOTS-c and many others. Check the individual product page or COA if a specific solvent is recommended.
How many vials can I reconstitute with one kit?
It depends on the volume added per vial. A 30 mL bottle of bacteriostatic water is enough for many typical reconstitutions of 1–3 mL each, and the syringe and pad counts are sized to match. Laboratories with higher throughput can add bacteriostatic water three-packs and syringe boxes separately.
Are the kit components sterile and documented?
The bacteriostatic water is manufactured as a sterile, non-pyrogenic product with a lot number and expiration date, and the syringes are supplied sterile in individual wrappers. Documentation for the water lot is available on request. Because the kit contains no peptide, HPLC purity does not apply.
Can I use the kit for spray-format preparations?
The bacteriostatic water and syringes can be used for the initial dissolution step, but spray-format preparations are usually finished in a metered spray bottle with a buffered diluent. For Semax, Selank and similar peptides see the Nasal Spray Reconstitution Kit.
