What is neuropeptide AF?
Neuropeptide AF is an RFamide neuropeptide cleaved from the pro-NPFF-A precursor, the same precursor that produces neuropeptide FF. The bovine form contains eighteen residues, and the human peptide differs in sequence and is listed separately.
How does NPAF relate to NPFF?
Both peptides come from one precursor and share the amidated arginine-phenylalanine carboxy terminus. They act at the same NPFF1 and NPFF2 receptors but differ in length and reported potency, so they are commonly tested side by side in binding studies.
What does morphine-modulating mean here?
