What is G6PI?
Glucose-6-phosphate isomerase is the glycolytic enzyme that converts glucose-6-phosphate to fructose-6-phosphate. The same protein has also been described extracellularly as neuroleukin and autocrine motility factor, giving it an unusual dual intracellular and secreted identity.
