What is autotaxin?
Autotaxin is a secreted enzyme encoded by ENPP2 that functions as a lysophospholipase D, generating lysophosphatidic acid from lysophosphatidylcholine. It was first described as an autocrine motility factor released by melanoma cells in culture.
Why are only peptide fragments listed?
Autotaxin is a large multidomain glycoprotein, not a signalling peptide. The catalog therefore offers short synthetic sequences from defined regions of the human and mouse protein, which serve as immunogens, blocking peptides and controls for the matched antibodies.
What research uses these reagents?
